snowed in

Well, It snowed a bit here in Monticello. We think about 3 feet this past week. Notice the 6 foot wooden fence, or at least the front part of it. Its really quite pretty. Its been fun to see it pile up. We even got to get out a couple of times and "play' in it. Before I go on with the snow pictures I'll back up and update the last couple of months.

Brady, Patrice, Ayda and Toren came for Christmas. We loved it. Little kids make Christmas so much more fun. Kevin took them out to hooky-bob behind the tractor. Cold but fun.

Ayda seemed to like her bike

Cute kids ready for church. Justin, Carrie & Jesse joined

us Christmas evening and so did Starlyn & family. We got to

hear from all our other children too.

Back in October Gentry's family came down for a few days. We pulled together a bunch of old trash and limbs to burn and Courland got to light the fire. Cool! We got to celebrate Peaches' birthday too.

Jan 8th we got to go "up North" to see our newest Granddaughter, Dahlia Emily Ramsay. So Cute. The kids were so good with her. She's a keeper.

We also spent a little time with Landon and family. We played wii fit.

Okay....so I can't seem to get pictures downloaded in order. I'm working on it. Mid December Kevin and I went to North Carolina to see Kayla and Ryan. We had a great time and Kayla was actually looking pregnant. We had a good time there. Their appartment is nice and they are doing well.

Now back to the snow pictures.......

The snow drift on the old shop goes clear up to the peak of the new shop

Kinda deep. Do you see my
Christmas tree? Did a lot of good to have
lights on it, huh?

WE had a little fun last night.

Justin helped us shovel , and shovel, and shovel.

catching up

Oct 17th was Peaches' birthday. Lots of fun! I'll post more about it soon.
I'm not having any luck putting more pictures on this blog.
October 10th, 2009, We celebrated Granny's 80th Birthday.
(Her birthday was on the 12th). Everyone who could
came up to Provo. It was a great week end. Granny loved it.
It was great seeing MY kids, their spouses and my grandkids. Gentry's, Landon's and
Brady's families came. also Starlyn's family, Kevin & I and My Brothers.
Granny got help opening her presents.

Patrice made an awesome cake for Granny's birthday

We ate at the Golden Coral

The boys surprised Granny and came for her
80th Birthday.

Cute little friendly horny toad Kayla and I found when she
came to visit. I don't know how to get it down in the part where
I'm telling about her visit!!! So pretend it's down with the pictures about
Kayla.

Sept. 5th, Darson was born. The next week we got to go see
Kisper and Riley and the boys. It was fun driving up through
Council -my old home town, and McCall and down the
Salmon River

I accidentally erased the picture of Kisper's whole family. Sorry Riley.
So cute

Lockley dressed up for church. Like a Missionary
Diedric liked playing in the bucket

We had fun playing with the boys and trying to
see who Darson looked like

We went the the park for a picnic and
helped Kisper can peaches. We got to
Play with the boys while she took one or the
other for a Dr. visit.

Deidric liked Grampa

Cute baby!!!

In Sept. Kayla got to come out for a visit.
We had a great time.

We watched the sunsets

and went to the farm

Went on walks and saw lots of wild life.

deer, squirrels and turkeys.

Kayla got a cute short haircut

We also played, ate, visited, etc. It was over all too soon though.
She had to fly back to NC. Thanks, Ryan, for letting us have her for a couple of weeks.

We teased about keeping her.

A Good Harvest

It's Aug. 13, o9... okay, now it's Aug 15.... and Kevin is trying to finish cutting the last of the wheat in the draws that was too wet to cut before. Hopefully he gets it all today. It's supposed to rain so we're hoping it will hold off until tomorrow afternoon so we can be done! The yeild has been good this year - no exact figures yet- a bumper crop. Now if we can just get a decent price we can pay some bills.

Brady and Patrice and Ayda and Toren were here for two weeks to help. It was fun having them here. I even got to see Toren learn to crawl.
Ok. I've tried twice to put pictures on here but every time i try to arrange them with the text o loose the pictures. @#*#$^&*!!!

No way. Mom has a blog????

Yes way!!!! We really do have a blog! Patrice and Brady have been down to help with the harvest so I asked Patrice to help me set one up. So I guess I'll start by saying that the 24th was fun. Lots of company. The parade was on a different street this year because the main street is torn up for resurfacing. Brady has only got to help harvest a few days - we've been rained out twice now and have had to wait 1 to 3 days to let it dry out. They're trying it out now. It's beautiful wheat so we're anxious to get it safely in the bins. I miss you all. It's been fun having Brady and Patrice here this week--especially Ayda and Toren.

Ayda and Toren liked standing in the

wheat on the Point with Grampa.

We dug a little in the Indian ruin just before dark.
Didn't find much, but we had fun.

Ayda and Toren loved the pool

Check out the wheat this year. Grandma & grandpa went
out with Dad before the wheat started turning
This is on the Duke place. Not all the wheat
is this tall.
